1. Introduction
The purpose of this privacy policy is to transparently explain how the Chrome extension Kawaak, published by the company WAAPI (290 Avenue Nina Simone, 34000 Montpellier, France), collects, uses, stores and shares the personal data of its users. This policy complies with the rules of the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD) and the requirements of the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies.
2. Collected data
When using the Kawaak extension, we collect only the data strictly necessary to provide the following services:
Identification data via LinkedIn: when connecting via OAuth, we collect the data provided by the LinkedIn API, i.e. surname, first name, email address, profile photo and a unique user ID.
Functional data: type of post created (text, image, PDF), origin of content created (typed idea, URL from an external page, long text), as well as clicks on certain functions to understand the content creation path and optimize the user experience.
Cookies: we use cookies exclusively for authentication purposes and to maintain user sessions, without any commercial or third-party use.
Billing data: if the user chooses a paid subscription, payment information is managed by our service provider Stripe. No banking data is stored or accessible by WAAPI.
3. Purpose of collection
The data collected is exclusively intended to ensure the proper functioning and improvement of the Kawaak extension, namely :
Authenticate the user via LinkedIn securely and without having to manage a password of your own;
Enable automated, personalized LinkedIn content creation based on ideas or resources provided ;
Manage user publication history ;
Make suggestions and improvements based on observed usage;
Manage subscriptions and payments via Stripe's secure API.
4. Data sharing
WAAPI undertakes never to sell, rent or transmit to third parties the personal data of its users for commercial purposes.
Data is only shared with the following service providers:
LinkedIn: as part of OAuth2 authentication.
Stripe: as part of payment management, in accordance with their own privacy policies and PCI DSS compliance requirements.
5. Shelf life
Data is kept for the duration of active use of the extension. In the event of account deletion by the user, all data linked to this account is immediately and irreversibly deleted from our databases.
6. Data storage location
All data collected and processed by Kawaak is stored exclusively within the European Union, on secure infrastructures that comply with international information security standards.
7. Security and encryption
All communications between the extension and our servers are encrypted using the HTTPS protocol. Personal data is also encrypted at rest using recognized algorithms (e.g. AES-256). No sensitive information is exposed in clear text.
8. User rights
In accordance with the RGPD, each user has the following rights regarding their personal data:
Right of access; Right of rectification; Right to erasure (right to be forgotten); Right to portability; Right to object.
